Hurry! March 15, 2012 is the Deadline to Apply for Free Home Repairs!
What: TeenServe Volunteers Provide Free Home Repairs
When: June 24-30, 2012
Why: To be the hands of Christ for our neighbors in the Cedar Valley
During the week of June 24-30, 2012, Nazareth Evangelical Lutheran Church, in conjunction with Iowa Heartland Habitat for Humanity, Love INC, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Black Hawk County, and Orchard Hill Church, will sponsor a TeenServe Heart of America Workcamp in the Cedar Valley. This event will touch the lives of people throughout our community as volunteers provide free home repairs to elderly, disabled, and low-income homeowners.
TeenServe, a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation located in Holcombe, Wisconsin, was formed in 1999. Since then, thousands of young people and their adult leaders have participated in dozens of Workcamps that have provided free home repairs to families in need throughout the United States.
In June 2012, TeenServe will coordinate a team of approximately 400 Christian youth and adult volunteers to work on 50-70 homes in our community.
