Crafts, snacks, music, mission activities, games, and special, high-energy worship services just for kids make VBS a can’t-miss summer event! Following the close of VBS on Thursday night, children and their families are invited to a pool party at the Cedar Falls Aquatic Center. Did you know . . . ?

Nearly half of all Americans who accept Jesus Christ as their savior do so before reaching the age of 13.

The primary window of opportunity for effectively reaching people with the good news of Jesus’ death and resurrection is during the pre-teen years.

People who become Christian before their teen years are more likely than those who are converted when older to remain "absolutely committed" to Christianity. (
Research from The Barna Group’s report on evangelism, October 2004)

At Nazareth, we understand that a person’s religious beliefs and moral behavior take root during the childhood years. That’s why we work hard to create "good soil" for the children in our church, giving them a rich, nurturing environment where they can learn about God and grow in their faith.

Our Children’s Ministry programs and activities are specifically designed to:

  • Reach children at their level of understanding in a creative, age-appropriate manner
  • Enhance the spiritual learning of children by teaching biblical truths
  • Lead children to a loving relationship with Jesus
  • Teach children about their responsibility to share the love of Jesus with their family, community, and the world

Learning About Jesus is Fun!
The best thing about our Children’s Ministry programs is that they’re fun! Children learn about the Bible through drama, music, crafts, and singing. Energetic, kid-friendly activities engage children in the joy of worshiping God. They’ll be eager to return - and bring their friends!

Keeping Our Children Safe
Background checks are performed on all staff members and volunteers who work with children. Safety rules and procedures are also in place for all Children’s Ministry events.
