The Kingdom of Heaven is the world as it should be - it is the reality in which God reigns and in which God is fully present and accessible to God’s people. There are a number of false narratives people live by that cause anger, frustration and stress. The false narratives include, ‘I am alone’, ‘Things always have to go the way I want them’, Something terrible will happen to me if I make a mistake’, ‘I have to be in control all the time’. The ‘kingdom narrative’ (Jesus narrative) is trusting, ‘You are never alone’, ‘Jesus is in control’, Jesus accepts me - even when I am not perfect’.
